Le Pont is the French word for “Bridge”.
A "Bridge" connecting people to people and countries to countries through music, and a "Bridge of peace" that conveys the preciousness of peace and the importance of passing it on to the future throughout the nation. The Le Pont International Music Festival aims to be a "Bridge" in these two senses, connecting Ako and Himeji with all of Japan, Japan with the world, and the present with the future.
Dates: September 27 through October 4, 2025 The music festival will hold a total of 6 performances, 2 performances in Ako and 4 performances in Himeji.
We have invited musicians who are concertmasters and principal players in prestigious orchestras around the world, led by Daishin Kashimoto, the music director of the music festival.

The Le Pont International Music Festival was first held in 2007 as the Ako International Music Festival, and has been held jointly in Ako and Himeji since 2012.

At Le Pont 2025, to offer audiences performances that they would not be able to hear anywhere else at affortable ticket prices, the performances provide their services for free.
To make this possible, we are seeking sponsorships and donations from companies and individuals who empathize with the intent of this unique music festival.

Volunteers wanted
In order to hold the Le Pont 2025 event, we are recruiting volunteers to support the festival.
